The Swiss Alps Jungfrau–Aletsch in a realistic panoramic view
This new representation by MountainCarto celebrates one of the most spectacular areas of the Alps, between Bern, Valais, and Uri. The map covers the entire UNESCO World Heritage Site Jungfrau–Aletsch–Bietschhorn, dominated by the famous Aletsch Glacier (the longest in the Alps) and iconic peaks such as the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau, Aletschhorn, Bietschhorn, and Finsteraarhorn.
Thanks to the oblique orthographic projection, ridges, glaciers, and hanging terraces stand out with extraordinary clarity, revealing a landscape sculpted in every detail. Each element has been modeled and rendered using official and open-source data: swisstopo digital terrain model and toponymy, OpenStreetMap buildings and transport network, ESA WorldCover land cover.
